MapSphere can reduce how many field contributors need those seats by handling shared collection, review, and project mapping. It does not claim to replace every ArcGIS product or specialist GIS workflow.
Can our GIS team still use the collected data in ArcGIS?
Yes. Export the map as GeoJSON for an ArcGIS-compatible geometry and attribute handoff. Reusable layer templates generate consistent, ArcGIS-compatible field names before collection begins.
Can clients or crews open a color-coded map without an Operion account?
Export a colored KMZ that opens in Google Earth. Utility colors remain part of the portable visual handoff, and KMZ can include referenced field photos when selected for export.
How does the office know when a line is ready?
The team sees a Draft-to-Field Collected-to-Reviewed lifecycle. In MapSphere, the Reviewed phase includes Ready for review, Approved, and Needs correction, and only an authorized reviewer can approve work or return it for correction. CAD staff can follow the current status from the same project map.
